Ever do that? If not, try it. Sometimes a total lack of concern about what’s going on outside is the best medicine possible for the inside. By inside, I speak of relaxing your mind, especially important in these trying days. I could write, or I could talk to you as I’m doing now. Perhaps you will read this, perhaps not. It doesn’t really matter for the catharsis is in my head. So if or when we meet, and I am not there at some point or another, please be patient. For those who know me it’s fairly normal, I call it my five mile look. Once you see it, you will know the distant stare. I am enjoying a flight to another place, the other dimension or a different subject. Let me have my simple pleasures, I’m out to hurt no one.
5 MILE LOOK
Someone talking from so far away
But what got said I just cannot say
Did you just hear me? My shoulder shook
Back in focus with a five mile look
Head at a tilt while something’s said
Words in this ear then out of my head
Hey stop zoning out that’s just not fair
All that’s received is a miles deep stare
Dream bout this muse on paths not walked
Then missed something said while someone talked
If it’s that important write a book
Just let me enjoy my five mile look
