Pristine blue waters surrounded by tall untouched mountain pine and poplars set the scenery. Sound beautiful? It is. Thousands of us ascended the narrow trail winding up to the wilderness sanctuary for three days of appreciating. Appreciating exactly what you might wonder. The answer, very simple, God placed Bear Lake on top of the mountain long ago. Perhaps in a time when man did not yet exist, or was too involved with survival to see the beauty. Our raggedy crowd trooped up the mountain to rectify the oversight.
That was yesterday, or perhaps forty years ago. Time and memory have contextual harmony, you can remember like it was yesterday. My future wife, best friend and I crawled up that mountain yesterday, then spent three days appreciating. Synesthesia perhaps? No, I was there, time traveling again.
SYNESTHESIA
Discovered me a problem,
Although more like a great gift
Go to trips in far places,
on this vessel oh, so swift
A sight perhaps just a smell
My circumstance matters not
Arrive faster than light speed
Wonderous, I travel with thought
Is it very contagious?
Oh mercy, hope to God so
I would infect the whole world
Then we would all get to go.
