Metamorphosis is complete, and a colorful moth, if not a major butterfly emerges. Drifting high on the breeze my new self takes in landscape; both physical and sensual. Life begins all over, as behind me lies a tired trusted friend. My old practice now somewhat shrunken with time, aged by years of caring, used profitably for so long, waves goodbye. It swings in the winds of change created by my new wings. Incredible freedom fills my soul; I profit immensely, without knowing if I’ll ever make a nickel. I will, but that is secondary to happiness. My new wings carry me into the unknown, as fear and excitement grip me. Fear makes me strong excitement makes it an adventure. As my father used to say: “Lead on McDuff.” Never did find out exactly what he meant but it always sounded cool.
INSANITY
Shall I go left, but no perhaps right
Well now choice is mine says I to me
So, shan’t worry about it all night
Righteous answer is find both ways to be
Direction chose I flit without fight.
Great thing is finding how much is free
Practice being myself, Oh yes, quite
Albatross, sailor, both see the sea.
