– A U T H O R –
In the premise, life is but a series of attitudes. I began with a full-on war song, followed by a more cautious, albeit shocking attitude adjustment.
We should bow to no man, nor should a person succumb to stupidity. Exercising restraint, aka keeping your mouth closed is sometimes handy. However, never allow yourself to drift aimlessly either. Why? Just because.
LIFE WITHOUT A CAUSE
What would life be if we didn’t have a quest?
Something to go for, life’s never-ending test.
To go through the years, day by day without a dream at all,
Empty, nothing to shoot for; a walk down life’s lonely hall.
To live life without a cause for me would be the end,
Always going forward for dreams all tomorrows send.
Sad indeed would be the man; one who has no cause at all,
To never see a wish come true; his world would be quite small.
Marching to your drummer, whatever it may be,
Is lifetime’s finest hour; it’s what you want to see.
A cause comes from the heart; also in your mind,
Place yours for tomorrow; see what you can find.
Losers don’t begin, winners do; the key is trying. Caution is earned or learned; one hurts, both satisfying. A cause: embryo of a fulfilled dream. Off-times a lonely attitude secretly envied by those lacking vision.
