Never a dull minute in my head; something is always spinning around in there. My problem, if it is one, is never knowing what comes out. On second thought, I kind of like it that way; I’m surprised when a fresh idea pops to the forefront. Ta ta.
LITTLE THINGS
Simple pleasures as we waltz down life’s trail,
Full amazement a certain moment brings.
Taken whole, such action’s magnificent,
Along the road, remember little things.
Garden grows large, gives bounty for the toil,
A worm from tilled soil, and then robin sings.
Someone created this spot with vision,
Seeded earth shares harvest that foresight brings.
Toddler moves on unsteady chubby legs,
Far cry from conception, where life gave wings.
Don’t take for granted this world’s mystery,
Spend time enjoying precious little things.
Small rock, stacked on stone brothers, builds a wall,
Towers high, strong enough to unhorse kings.
Who forgets a tiny, helpless people,
May bring upheaval, lack of memory brings.
Tell your tale, watching magic sprout and grow,
Sweet enjoyment, honey, sometimes bee stings.
Keep in your heart, the best starts out humbly,
Each act on Earth begins with little things.
