– A U T H O R –
Underneath every one stood large groups of thankful Black Angus cows, enjoying a cool patch of shade on a blistering cloudless day. Being from Missouri, where there are usually trees to stand under, this thoughtfulness on the part of the rancher was a new concept. Like anything else, when something catches my eye, I’m obliged to write about it, and like it or not, here is BCM, Black Cows Matter.
BCM
Every face was black, that cloudless heat filled day,
No shade to be had, t’was too many anyway.
Out in the sun kind person erected tent,
Guess where those hot bodies left the hot and went?
Didn’t take protests, not one soul came to harm,
No one heard about it, never left the farm.
Gratitude visible, the blind could easy see,
Thoughtfulness don’t cost much, can often be for free.
Farm style example here, from far pasture’s fence,
Thinking of another, just takes common sense.
Across species, why should kindness matter,
One breed gets the best? Cut the obscene chatter.
You can call me crazy, it doesn’t matter Jim,
Yonder lies a case in point, out there BCM.
Tiny microcosm, or world mad as a hatter,
None less important, but right there, Black Cows Matter.
