No not a ho; a ho-ho-ho. It’s Christmas, a time to celebrate the birth of Christ. Does it feel like your world crumbles around you? Well, that’s only you. Christ is eternal. Christ was crucified for being a political dissident, and most of those who did the deed are long forgotten. The Roman Empire is only a memory, Christ alone and his love lives on forever. He loves you, me, even the lowest junkie in the street. Proud men fall, governments fade away into history, and still he lives. How cool is that? Next time you feel the earth shake, put your faith in the unshakable. Christ lives today, did yesterday, and will tomorrow. Merry Christmas.
HO-HO-HO
The world around us seems to shake
Things took for granted, gone to dust
Ho-ho-ho, God says it’s Christmas
To all Christians what’s all the fuss?
Can’t see or feel or taste our Lord
To non-believers just a crutch
They spend time destroying nothing?
For nothing, those folks worry much.
Sing a song, spread around good cheer
Go see sis or call a brother
Yell a ho-ho-ho it’s Christmas
Tis a season like no other.
